Long Weekend on James

Ok so this weekend was pretty dead, due in part to the long weekend and everyone dying to get to there cottages. I did a bit of printing and some scheming for some more later. Robert was teaching lithography at the Printstudio. Did a lot of stops at Pane Del Soul. Got some cheap paper from Dave at MixedMedia. I have a feeling a lot of people are gearing up for next weekends art shows.Trying to figure out a nice present for Print Studio members as I am a volunteer over there and spend most of my free time there. Well I have to go do some cleaning. Oh and Happy Bday to Matt Jelly, even though I couldn't make it to your party I hope it went well.

Hamilton Gallery Hop May 5th

Ok so I made this amazing blog post and all of the sudden fatal error??? ARRRR!!!!

So I am going to try and sumerize what I just wrote, Gallery hop was good, just not enough people too many openings in different parts of the town. Highlights from James St. North , A Block Parent Community http://www.ablockparentcommunity.ca/

Dyan Hatanaka at the Mixed Media Art Store, Hamilton Artists Inc had a solid show too! Imperial Cotton Centre made a cool cut out thing for people, you can make your own paper cotton centre http://www.imperialcottoncentre.com/index.html

Also they've got most of their artist profiles up on the site, looks good.

Hamilton's The Factory Media Arts Centre has a PODCASTING WORKSHOP ! May 13/06 form 1-4pm, http://www.hamiltonmediaarts.org/calendar.cfm?topcat=hamacl for more information go there. It's cheap too $55 for non members, $40 for members.

Douglas Coupland is coming May 25 to the Art Gallery of Hamilton for a reading! check out http://www.jamestreetnorth.ca for details.

Ok hopefully this posts.

Website Under Construction

Well in case you haven't been checking the website, I've been busy fixing and fiddling with it. Added some links, fixed up the galleries that are not on James St. North. Alot of galleries but too many with appointment only so I don't want to put any of there events down. I also have been talking to Jeremey of the Cotton Centre and should have our first add for the art bus!!! I also talked to some people and hopefully when the site has a better design we can get handing out some flyers for the site. Who knows? Talked to Dave from Mixed Media and will probably be doing some sort of H Magazine/ Gallery Guide hybrid. Man, I really want to get people coming to the website !

Well I better go, I have to figure out some more for the website and all that!
